Should buyers not mention it until the deal is set,,, then get $1k more off?
Just got one in the mail.

When I bought my Tahoe, Jay actually brought it up to me. I had received it in the mail a couple weeks prior, but tossed it thinking it was some sort of "cant be combined with other offers type deal"...come to find out Jay discovered it after the deal was written up and we ended up getting rims

Are you thinking of buying a Chev product somewhere else????? I would also hold all your cards close until the deal is set then let them know... A GOOD dealer will actually check online as soon as you fill out a credit app. and let you know that you have it....

At the end of 1999 I bought a 2000 Blazer, the dealer was Power off of the 10 and the 605 Freeway. The manufacture had a $5,000 discount at the time so it was a pretty good deal. I had brought all my coupons in ($500 off for some sort of test driving event), ($1,000 off Coupon I think from the Manufacture) and my GM Card rebate.

I was so burnt out from all the haggling we were doing on my trade-in I forgot to give them all my coupons until the last minute. If I remember right the salesman had already started the paperwork. The salesman looked at me like I was trying to hard nose him for holding out to the end. Then he comes back and says thatÂ’s it right your not going to pull anymore coupons out of your pocket are you? I said laughing I forgot one more thing here is my GM Card I have some money on that too. My girlfriend was busting up watching me pull out all these coupons from my pocket.

We wouldn't buy without talking to you first Jay.
We'll be in the market for a 3500HD in the future.
Got the GM $1000 coupon in the mail today, was wondering how it works.

Easy..... You get a $1000 rebate on the vehicles listed.... We sell it to you and GM chips in $1000 extra towards your down pmt.... You don't need to wait for a check it shows up right on the contract....

I started getting the coupons mailed to my house a couple years after I got my GM Card. If buy GM products you should get the GM Card. It use to be better than it is now but you can still earn up to $500 a year towards a new vehicle.
Once I had a dealer give me a $500 coupon because he couldn't give me what I wanted for my trade-in. Another time I got a $500 coupon because I went to a stadium test driving event. Last year I got a $2,000 coupon sent to me from GM.

I get stuff for buying GM stuff but the card doesn't do me any good because I have the supplier discount. There is a new one that does work with the discount but the rewards are less so I've never bothered as I have a card that gives me much more rewards.
