7600 RPM and 187mph. Sucks that it takes at least one lap to get there with the restrictor plate on the carb

Actually, the saddest thing is that the pace car is the fastest car on the track. I'd love to see them drop the rag and let the stock Corvette walk away from 43 so-called "race cars"....Everyone brags about how close the racing is, but if you put all the drivers on 5HP lawn mowers the racing would be close too! Take off the plates, move the crowd up 20 rows and let 'em eat! I don't understand why they can run 200+ at Atlanta and Charlotte but at Daytona and Talladega it's "dangerous".

You're kidding, right? Moving the crowd up 20 rows doesn't put money in the pockets of the owners.
