I you have previous experience (positive or negative) and were budget minded, what would you do if your new boat was being built?
#1-
Provide all your components (stereo, 2 amps, 2 subs, 2 6x9, 2 6 1/2, wired remote) to the company building your boat and allow them to install the wires neatly along with the wiring looms in the boat, cut the speaker holes, build the subwoofer enclosures, install the wired remote, fans on amps, etc, do an excellent job, but pay almost double what a stereo shop would charge?
#2-
Pick up your brand new expensive beloved boat, take it to a reputable stereo shop, which you trust, but worry that the shop may be disassembling your interior to run wiring, building subwoofer enclosures and re-assembling your new boat maybe not quite exactly as it was originally, all to save a significant amount of money.
Have your buddy from the stereo shop go over to Shockwave one day and run all the wires before the panels are installed. Also, just have the holes for the speakers cut by them (Shockwave) and have your guy install all the components at his shop after the boat is built. Last option: Get a nice boom box and forget about it....
